The winning author and editor each receive an original beautifully hand-crafted box, inlaid with silver, based on the design of the Branford Boase Award logo. The author also takes home a cheque for £1000.

The resutls of the Branford Boase Award and the Henrietta Branford Writing Competion are announced at the end of June each year and the prizes are presented to the winners at an informal private party at Walker Books in London.
